Kiambu: 4 People Arrested With 1107 Rolls Of Bhang
Police officers from Kikuyu Police Station have arrested four persons of interest linked to drug peddling in the Makutano area.
The National Police Service (NPS), in a statement issued on Sunday, November 30, 2025, said the intelligence-led operation was launched after credible information from members of the public pointed to an active drug distribution network in the area.
Officers moved in swiftly, arresting the persons of interest and recovering a significant haul of cannabis.
During the raid, police seized 1,107 rolls of bhang and an additional 6 kilograms of loose cannabis, with a combined estimated street value of Ksh 210,000. The four were taken into custody and are currently being processed ahead of their scheduled arraignment.
“Officers from Kikuyu Police Station have conducted an intelligence-led operation in the Makutano area, leading to the arrest of four suspected drug peddlers. The suspects will be processed and arraigned in court. The operation also led to the recovery of 1,107 rolls and 6 kg of bhang, with an estimated street value of Ksh 210,000,” the NPS stated.

NPS further praised both the public and the officers involved, noting that the successful operation was a result of close community-police collaboration.
The police also reaffirmed their commitment to intensified operations targeting drug trafficking networks across Kiambu County and beyond.
Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and continue sharing information that may aid ongoing enforcement efforts.
“The National Police Service commends the public for providing crucial information and the officers for their vigilance and commitment to the fight against narcotic drugs and illicit brews within their jurisdictions. The NPS remains steadfast in its commitment to serving and protecting the public,” the statement read.
The arrests come amid a nationwide crackdown on drug and substance abuse, with authorities warning that suppliers and distributors will face the full force of the law.
