After a noticeable break from social media, Wavinya Maria, girlfriend to businessman Khalif Kairo, has resurfaced, sparking rumors about the status of their relationship.

Khalif Kairo’s Legal Troubles

Meanwhile, Kairo is facing serious legal challenges. On January 28, he appeared in court to respond to fraud-related charges. His lawyer, Davidson Makau, requested the return of his passport, citing a planned fundraiser in the U.S.

However, prosecutors demanded detailed travel plans before any decision could be made. Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina scheduled another hearing for January 31 to review Kairo’s documents.

Just as Kairo left the courtroom, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) intercepted and detained him. While the exact reason for his re-arrest remains unclear, reports suggest it may be related to multiple complaints from clients alleging business fraud.
