Kericho: Body of a middle-aged man found dumped in a thicket
Investigations are ongoing after the body of a middle-aged man was found dumped at Marumbasi Village in Sigowet location, Kericho County.
According to locals, the deceased, a resident of the neighboring Chemegong Village, is suspected to have been killed on Saturday night before his body was dumped in a thicket on a farm in Marumbasi.
Family members discovered the body on Sunday. The man was reportedly last seen drinking with friends at a bar in Corner Trading Center on Saturday night.
He was later found murdered under unclear circumstances. Meanwhile, one suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident and is assisting the police with investigations.
The matter was reported at Sondu Police Station, after which officers moved the body to Sigowet Hospital mortuary.
