Kenya Kwanza women leaders led by Deputy Majority Whip Naomi Waqo and Deputy Speaker Gladys Boss Shollei in Marsabit.
Women leaders allied to the Kenya Kwanza coalition are travelling across the country to rally women to engage their sons and daughters to listen to President William Ruto.
This strategy aims to soften the hard stances held by Gen Z in their push for government reforms.
On Monday, the leaders visited the third county, Marsabit, led by Deputy Majority Whip Naomi Waqo and Deputy Speaker Gladys Boss Shollei.
They emphasized the importance of a peaceful nation, noting that a lack of peace primarily affects women and children.
They urged Gen Z to cease staging countrywide demonstrations and to consider the calls for forming a government of national unity, where their issues can be addressed amicably.
The leaders expressed confidence that President Ruto is attentive to the concerns of the youth and women and that he has good intentions for the nation. Other leaders present in Marsabit included Faith Gitau, Betty Maina, Beatrice Adagala, Leah Sankaire, and Liza Chelule, among others.
