To collaborate with Kenya’s Jason Derulo look-alike, Remcy Don, you need to fork out Sh 5 million. Yes, you read that correctly.
When a fan inquired about his collaboration fees, Don responded, “Thanks for reaching out. Currently, the only collaboration I am focused on is with my brother, Jason Derulo. If someone wants to collaborate, my fee is 5 million Kenya shillings. I am internationally recognized and locally available.”
Remcy, who is known for his resemblance to the American musician, recently urged other celebrity look-alikes to approach their roles with authenticity and respect.
“It’s important to approach the idea of being a celebrity look-alike with genuine representation,” he said. “If you’re going to claim to resemble someone famous, ensure you have qualities or achievements that align with their status.”
He stressed that it’s not just about physical appearance but also about embodying aspects of the celebrity’s success or lifestyle.
“Claiming to look like someone while lacking substantial achievements only undermines the credibility of your claim and makes us all seem like a joke. Let’s aim for genuine representation and respect for the celebrities we admire.”
This statement came shortly after a look-alike of comedian Jalang’o publicly criticized the MP for not providing adequate support.
The look-alike claimed that Jalang’o had only given him Sh1,000 and promised further help. In response, Jalang’o said that the look-alike should emulate his work ethic and determination rather than waiting for assistance.
“Do you know what makes me laugh? It’s like you think that because you resemble me, you should be my responsibility. If you also matched my dedication and hard work, you wouldn’t be giving this interview. So when asked what you do for a living, don’t just say you look like Jalas!”
