Isiolo South MP Tubi Bidu Dies While Receiving Treatment

The Member of Parliament for Isiolo South Constituency, Hon. Tubi Bidu Mohamed, has died while receiving treatment at the Nairobi Hospital.
In a message to the nation, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula confirmed the passing of the first-term lawmaker on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, evening, describing it as a great loss to Parliament and the country.
“It is with profound deep sorrow that I inform you and the nation of the demise of our esteemed colleague, the Member for Isiolo South Constituency, the Tubi Bidu Mohamed, MP, who has left us this evening, Wednesday, November 12, 2025, while receiving treatment at the Nairobi Hospital,” Wetang’ula stated
Tubi, who was serving his first term in the National Assembly, sat in the Departmental Committee on Environment, Forestry and Mining, as well as the Public Petitions Committee.

According to the Speaker, the late MP was a dedicated public servant whose leadership and commitment were deeply felt both in Parliament and within his constituency.
“Until his demise, the Tubi Bidu served as a Member of the Departmental Committee on Environment, Forestry and Mining and the Public Petitions Committee. The Tubi was serving his 1st term as a Member of the House. Previously, he was the inaugural Speaker of the Isiolo County Assembly, where he diligently served until 2017,” Wetang’ula stated.
The Speaker urged Kenyans to honour Tubi’s memory by reflecting on his dedication to service and his contribution to the people of Isiolo South and the country at large.
“As we come to terms with this great loss, let us remember Hon. Tubi for his remarkable service and the positive impact he had on our nation. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, constituents and all those who had the privilege of knowing him,” Wetang’ula said
He concluded by expressing Parliament’s condolences and promising to share more details regarding burial arrangements in due course. “May his soul rest in eternal peace. More details will follow,” Wetang’ula said
