Interior CS Kithure Kindiki is Kenya's best-performing Cabinet Secretary, if the findings of a just-released Infotrak Survey are anything to go by. 

His ministry was also ranked as Kenya's best performing as the Kenya Kwanza administration clocks a year since the last polls. 

Kindiki, who has led the Interior Ministry for the past ten months, received an overall performance rating of 59 percent.

He was trailed by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu, who received a rating of 55%, and Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha, who received a rating of 53%.

Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen, who tied for fourth place with his Agriculture counterpart, Mithika Linturi, at 53 percent, made the list of the five best performing Cabinet Secretaries.

Labour and Social protection CS Florence Bore and her Energy Ministry counterpart, Davis Chirchir, were ranked last, with a mean score of 46 and 45 percent, respectively. 

The findings were based on a survey of 4,000 candidates conducted across Kenya between August 23 and September 10 of this year.

The poll also revealed Kenyans' attitudes toward the country's current leadership, with 30% believing the country is on the right track.

Those who believe Kenya is on the right track cite peace as a key indicator.

Elsewhere, 53 percent others believe the country is headed the wrong way, and cited the high cost of living, as well as unemployment as some of the indicators
