Kenyan gospel singer and ordained pastor Size 8 has finally opened up about her decision to separate from her husband, DJ Mo.
Weeks after announcing her single status, she offered a heartfelt explanation of the circumstances surrounding their separation and shared her hopes for the future.
In the latest episode of their TV47 show, Love In The Wild, Size 8 appeared alone, revealing that she was the one who initiated the separation.
Despite the separation, Size 8 remains a strong believer in the institution of marriage, which she believes is ordained by God.
She explained that her public announcement of her single status was not made lightly. "I am a firm believer in marriage, but before I made the decision to separate, I had exhausted all other options. It was not an easy choice, but it was the only one left," she explained.
Size 8 also expressed hope that reconciliation might be possible in the future. "If God brings healing and restoration to our marriage, that would be my dream," she said.
However, she made it clear that, for now, separation was necessary for her well-being.
In her plea to fans, Size 8 asked for prayers for herself, DJ Mo, and their marriage. She admitted that she still loves DJ Mo deeply but believes separation is the best option at this time.
"It was not an easy decision. I thank God I am not bitter. I'm still very much in love with Mr. Muraya, but right now, separation is the best way forward," she confessed.
She candidly discussed the backlash she has faced since making her decision public. "I have endured intense criticism for my choice," she said.
"I've been accused of many things by people who don't even know my story. I’ve drawn strength from God to get through this."
Size 8 urged viewers not to be quick to judge but to pray for those going through difficult times. "Don’t judge others based on what you think you know. Instead, pray for them because you don't know their full story," she said.
Size 8 also offered advice to couples facing challenges in their marriages. She encouraged those who are struggling but still have hope to persevere and not give up too quickly.
"If you are in a marriage and holding onto hope, don’t be discouraged. There is always a possibility of healing. If your spouse is willing to change, keep going," she advised.
However, she acknowledged that sometimes separation or even divorce might be necessary if all other options have been exhausted.
"Don't give up on your home too quickly. But if you've tried everything and nothing works, then separation or divorce might be the way forward," she concluded.
