Businesswoman and social media personality Esther Musila has sparked debate online after sharing a strongly worded reaction to the tragic fire at Utumishi Girls Academy in Gilgil, Nakuru County.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, Musila expressed shock and disappointment over allegations that some students may have been involved in the dormitory blaze that claimed the lives of 16 learners and left dozens injured.
Reacting to reports surrounding the incident, she said:
“I would disown you! If you can do that to another person, why wouldn’t you do that to me and burn down my house?”
The statement quickly attracted hundreds of reactions from Kenyans, many of whom echoed her call for accountability.
Several commenters argued that those found responsible should face the full force of the law regardless of their age.
