How Dorea Chege and DJ Dibul Celebrated the Arrival of Their First Child

While announcing her arrival accompanied with a picture on her hospital bed, Dorea got sentimental, reflecting on the pregnancy journey.

"I fought for you, I prayed for you, I yearned for you. And now, holding you in my arms, I realize that all the sacrifices, all the struggles, were worth every single moment. Welcome to the world, our precious princess 👸 💕"

Their pregnancy journey has been adorable to watch, as the couple prepared for their new bundle of joy.

The actress revealed her baby bump in January, following months of suspicion and rumors online that she was expectant but hiding it.

A menstrual cycle typically ranges from 21 to 35 days, with an average of around 28 days. Irregular periods occur when the gap between periods consistently falls outside this range, or when the length of the period itself varies significantly.

It’s possible to become pregnant when you have an irregular menstrual cycle, but you may find it difficult. If you’re unsure about the length of your cycle from month to month, it can be difficult to know when you’re ovulating.

She has been eagerly waiting for her plus one, and on 4th March, spoke extensively about her post-partum plan, her birth journey what to expect, how to prepare, and everything in between.

- It's important for the baby to feel mum, for temperature regulation and bonding

- The baby is dried and covered with a warm towel or blanket to prevent them from getting cold

- The umbilical cord is clamped and cut after the baby is born

- Doctor accesses the baby's breathing and may suction their mouth and nose to clear any fluids if any

- The baby is then examined by the experts and weighed and possibly measured

- Baby receives Vitamin K injection

-The baby will be given a wrist or ankle band with the mother's name on it

- If there is meconium (a green, sticky substance that's baby fecal matter in-utero) in the amniotic fluid, the doctor may suction baby's mouth before the first breath so it isn't inhaled into the lungs

- The new mums vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate) and bleeding are also monitored

-The healthcare team will check how her uterus is contracting
