Homa Bay: 13-Year-Old Girl Raped, Murdered and Acid Poured on Face and Private Parts
A somber mood has engulfed Rabuor village in Kamsama, Suba North Constituency of Homa Bay County following the brutal killing of a 13-year-old female pupil.
The lifeless body of Mary Treza, a Grade Seven pupil at Kamsama Comprehensive School, was discovered by the roadside after she went missing on Monday during lunch break.
According to Mbita Sub-County Deputy County Commissioner Peter Mutiso, the girl was attacked by unknown criminals shortly after parting ways with her classmates on her way home, only to be found dead on Tuesday.
Police officers who visited the scene confirmed that acid had been poured on her face and private parts, with preliminary investigations suggesting she was defiled before being killed.

The horrific act has been strongly condemned by Suba North Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo, who termed it a shocking and barbaric crime.
She has urged the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to move swiftly and bring all perpetrators to book.
