Henry Omondi boards a plane for the first time

Lady luck seems to be smiling on Henry Omondi, who went viral during protests opposing the Adani deal to manage JKIA.

For the first time, he has boarded a Kenya Airways plane and landed at the very airport he passionately defended.

In a video shared by comedian Eric Omondi, a smiling Henry is seen boarding a plane, later landing at JKIA.

"Our brother today boarded a plane and landed at JKIA for the very first time ever. We celebrate and appreciate him," Eric shared.

Following his viral story, Eric and the Sisi kwa Sisi Foundation enrolled Henry at Ndere Vocational Training Centre in Siaya County.

"We enrolled him at a TVET... he wants to be a mechanic," Eric said, before inviting anyone willing to support Henry further to do so via his mother's MPESA number.

"Her number is 0790 166983, and the name will show as Mourine Ochieng (the mother). Let's appreciate him," he added.

A number of Kenyans have expressed their desire to support Henry, recognising his efforts during the protests. MPs Gathoni Wa Muchomba and Patrick Makau are among those publicly offering to help.

"I don't own the copyrights to the image, but I am looking for this legend. I must treat him for Christmas. That 'tumekataa' was prophetic. Any leads, please inbox me," Gathoni appealed to netizens.
