In a recent Instagram post, Harmonize explained to his fans why he could not perform at the Mad Experience concert, even though his fans were already waiting for him after he confirmed he would be attending the Burna Boy event in Nairobi.
“The only reason why I could not hop on stage and perform is simply because I did not do the sound check, so they could not just allow me to enter the stage just like that. It does not happen that way,” he said.
He stressed that had he attended the sound check, he would have been able to take the stage and show Kenya what he had to offer.

Before coming to Kenya, Harmonize issued a warning to any artist who might try to sabotage his visit, stating they would have a rough time.
However, Willy Paul, known for his controversies with foreign artists, did not hesitate to throw shots at him.
“Kama nilifukuza babako, wewe nani? Nitakupiga ukonde. The only gang I recognize is mbuzi gang, na huku tunapiga mbilikimo,” Willy Paul said in an Instagram post aimed at Harmonize, also known as Konde Boy.
Netizens speculated that Willy Paul's message was related to Harmonize not performing at the Mad Experience, with some commenting:
“Willy Paul's plan worked.”
“Hivi yani Pozee kakuingizisha baridi?”
“This has Willy Paul written all over it.”
Although Harmonize did not respond to any of the allegations or Willy Paul's threat, he continued his post by praising Burna Boy’s electric performance.

From the way Burna and his crew conducted themselves to how he nailed the show, Harmonize was impressed.
“It was really great to witness such a performance, unbelievable. Not just watching him perform, but I am proud of him because of the level he brought—from the sound equipment to the team’s organization. Burna Boy was on stage exactly at 10:30 p.m., as scheduled, which is incredible. They were very serious, and East Africa, seeing this, we have definitely learned something,” he said.
