Tanzanian socialite and entrepreneur Hamisa Mobetto has recently disclosed that her baby daddy Diamond Platnumz took her to court over their son, Dylan custody.
In a video shared by a Tanzanian blogger, the mother of two revealed that Diamond initiated the legal proceedings.
She noted that their their lawyers failed to reach a unanimous agreement leading to the current challenges in the two having a co-parenting relationship.
"Hakuna mtu anayetaka mtoto wake kuongelewa kila mahali, si jambo zuri. Yeye ndiye aliyewaletea mawakili mwanzoni kabisa, kweli. Alisema alitaka kuwatunza watoto wake kisheria. Lakini nadhani mawakili wake na mawakili wangu hawakukubaliana hadi tulipofikia sasa. Na sisi tunalea watoto kama wazazi wengine wenye bahati ya kuwa na watoto," Hamisa stated.
During his trip to Kenya, the Wasafi boss was forced to explain why he left his son with Mobetto behind during his recent trip to Rwanda.
Diamond went to Rwanda with the two children he sired with Zari Hassan and with his son whom he shares with Tanasha Donna.
In an interview, the 'Enjoy' hitmaker clarified that Dylan was in school during the trip and didn't want to interfere with his education.
“Sio kila sehemu ni vyema kwenda na watoto, that’s why I came here alone, at time you are supposed to leave them to study. So I went with them to Rwanda but here I came alone because the kids are in school and sometimes it's not advisable to go with them everywhere. I will spoil them,” Diamond clarified.
For over two years, Diamond Platnumz and Mobetto have been entangled in this dispute over the paternity of their son, Dylan.
This public dispute surfaced in August 2022, coinciding with the birthdays of Tiffah and Nillan, Diamond's children.
During this time, Diamond lavishly celebrated Tiffah's birthday, highlighting her as the chosen heir to his substantial empire.
However, noticeably absent was any acknowledgement of Dylan's birthday, which falls just two days after Tiffah's, on August 8.
Addressing the public, Hamisa Mobetto, Dylan's mother, expressed her bewilderment at Diamond's disregard for their son's birthday.
"Kusema ukweli sifahamu kwa nini nadhani hilo swali ni vizuri sana akiulizwa yeye mwenyewe binafsi mi ntakua sina majibu na mi si mtu ambaye anauliza nadhani ni maamuzi tu mtu unaamka tu asubui unaamua," Hamisa said.
When asked about Diamond fulfilling his paternal responsibilities to Dylan, Hamisa chose not to delve into details, stating, "I really don't want to get into details."
In December 2022, Diamond chose neither to confirm nor deny whether he was Dylan's biological father.
He emphasized that it was solely Hamisa who knew the truth about Dylan’s paternity.
“Sitaki kumuhukumu mtoto kwasababu ni malaika. Na muda mwengine vitu kama hivi vinaweza kumkosesha mtoto haki zake za msingi. Hizi Habari nimeanza kuzisikia kitambo sana lakini siku zote mama ndie anaejua baba wa mtoto," Diamond said during an interview.
Continuing the trend, on April 5, 2023, Diamond publicly celebrated his three acknowledged children—Princess Tiffah, Nillan, and Naseeb Junior—yet once again omitted any mention or recognition of Dylan.
As August 8, 2023, arrived, Mobetto commemorated her son's birthday without Diamond's presence, marking yet another instance where he was conspicuously absent.
