Tanzanians were left baffled after ‘Chief Godlove’ whose nick name comes from his Government name Godlove Mwakibete.
The bussinessman who is also a spiritual healer and motivational speaker expressed his dissatisfaction toward the Tanzanian musicians.
Bien is the king worthy of the throne
While at the Trace Music Awards, which was held in Zanzibar on 26th February he did not mince his words.
According to Godlove, the audience was not impressed by local talent.

Noting that he is a great performer and skilled artist who serenaded the audience and they swayed to the beats of his music and hooked to his lyrics.
Bien captivated the auidence and transported them to another world so much so that Godlove remarked Tanzania would want to claim ownership of him.
Tanzania loves good vibes
He even went to the extent of jokingly suggesting that Tanzania should pay Kenya for his services.
Godlove made it clear that he was not impressed with how Tanzanian artists conducted themselves during the performance in question.
Furthermore, he explained what he had wanted to see more of.
For instance, the motivational speaker wanted them to inject excitement and flair along with a commanding stage presence.
In this case, however, he claimed that did not happen.
Godlove’s disappointment with local talent
In his eyes, this was a lost chance to present the world with Tanzania’s culture and music.
Moreover, in his opinion, a performance that would be regarded as great, and one that would have an effect.
On the other hand, he asserted Bien ticked off everything on the list on what a great performer should do.
Godlove was so impressed with Bien’s performance and sang his praises for all and sundry.
Bien is the blueprint
The Chief was pleased by the delightful manner in which Bien commanded and addressed the crowd, as well as the quality of his show .
He said: “Bien’s artistry is what Tanzanians should learn from.
He further jokingly offered to pay Kenya so that they could give up Bien.
His remarks sparked a debate among music lovers. Some agreed with him, saying that Tanzanian artists need to improve their performances on international stages.
Others felt that he was too harsh and that Tanzanian musicians are doing their best.
However, most people found his joke about “buying” Bien amusing.
However this has left many wondering:
Should Tanzanian artists take this as a wake-up call? Should they put more effort into their performances and stage presence?
