A viral video showing a foreigner trying to beat a man has triggered strong reactions, with Geoffrey Mosiria on Sunday, November 16, 2025, calling for urgent action.
The clip, which spread widely online, has raised new concerns about rising cases of harassment involving foreigners in Kenya. Mosiria said he will not allow such incidents to continue and called on the public to report any similar cases.
Mosiria said the incident is part of a growing problem that must be stopped before it becomes normal, noting that this is not the first time such behaviour has been reported, pointing to a previous case in Diani where foreigners bullied police officers. He said that Kenyans and visitors alike deserve safety and respect while in the country.
Enough is enough
In his statement, Mosiria did not hold back as he warned those who misuse the freedom they enjoy in Kenya.
Geoffrey Mosiria said, “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! As a leader, I cannot sit and watch Kenyans or even non-Kenyans being harassed on our soil. This rising culture of bullying and intimidation must stop immediately. We must protect our people. Last time it was in Mombasa–Diani, where Kenyan police officers were bullied. And today, here is yet another case. How many more are suffering out there in silence?”
Mosiria also said that some guests have started taking advantage of the country’s peaceful environment. He argued that the same would never be tolerated in their own countries.
He said, “Some of our guests are now misusing the freedom they enjoy in our peaceful nation. Yet if a Kenyan tried the same in their home country, they wouldn’t even be allowed to collect their belongings; they would be put on a plane like a criminal.”
He went on to promise action against those who break the law, saying the behaviour will no longer be ignored.

“This impunity ends today. If you have any videos of harassment or bullying, don’t fear. Share them with me directly on WhatsApp. We will expose the truth and ensure the culprits are arrested and sent back to their countries. Kenya is a nation of law, not a playground for lawlessness. This is a warning to all who think they can abuse our hospitality.”
