The Gala for the 2025 Trace Music Awards went down in Zanzibar on February 26th, 2025 with heavyweights in the music industry competing for the prestigious awards.
Nigerian singer Rema emerged as the night's biggest winner, taking home three awards- Album of the Year, Best Music Video, and Best Male Artiste of the Year.
Kenya’s Bien-Aime Baraza won the award for the Best Artiste in Eastern Africa while Diamond continued his global domination, winning Best Global African Artist.
Ivorian rapper Didi B took home the Best Hip Hop Artist award, while South Africa’s Tyla won the award for Best Female Artist.

Congolese superstar, Fally Ipupa won the award for Best Live Performance, as Tshwala Bam by South Africa’s Titom & Yuppe won the award for Song of the Year.
