First Lady of Kenya, Rachel Ruto pays a visit to her former high school Butere Girls High School.
The first lady posted a series of photos on her official Twitter handle terming the national school her Alma matter.
"It was truly refreshing to see their dedication and enthusiasm for learning, " she posted.
She revealed that "during my visit, I encouraged the girls to stay focused on their studies and work hard to achieve their goals. Education is the key to unlocking endless possibilities, and I wanted to instil in them the belief that their dreams are valid."
The first lady noted that children are the future leaders, innovators, and change-makers of our society.
"By supporting their academic aspirations, we empower them to create a better world for themselves and others."
She urged Kenyans to remember where each one of them came from and give back to their communities and former schools.
