Netizens and fans have expressed concern for content creator Georgina Njenga after a distressing video of her surfaced online. The video, which circulated over the weekend, showed Georgina in tears at a police station following an alleged assault.

The mother of one went live on her TikTok page, where a man was seen trying to grab her phone before taking the confrontation outside. While outside, she vented her frustrations, claiming someone had assaulted her without reason. She demanded justice, further alleging that the person responsible had not yet recorded a statement.

“Mtu anajaribu kunipiga na mimi nimemnyamazia. If they are not writing a statement, then it is not fair,” the 23-year-old tearfully said. In the video, a man in the background can be heard asking why she had hit him with a bottle in the first place.

The identity of the man remains unclear, as the TikTok Live footage is mostly dark during the scuffle. It is also unknown whether he is the same person accused of assaulting her. The video quickly sparked mixed reactions online, with some expressing concern for her safety while others criticised her.

This is not the first time Georgina has found herself in such a situation. In November last year, she made headlines after another video surfaced showing her in a heated argument with her then-boyfriend. In the footage, the man, later identified as ‘Argaton,’ could be heard angrily ranting while Georgina argued back. She had a visible injury on her forehead, which appeared fresh as she was bleeding.

"Nitapasua hii simu... Toka tu uende utibiwe. Mamako amekuja hapa amekulilia utoke kwani unataka kufa huku kwangu? Unataka kujinyonga hapa? Si ujinyonge ukufe basi,” the man said in frustration.

Georgina accused him of making it seem like she had hurt herself, to which he angrily replied, “What are you saying? Did someone hit you, or was it glass that hurt you?”

The video left fans worried about her well-being, but she later deleted it and reassured netizens that she was fine. “Hi everyone, thanks for checking on me. I’m doing well. The video you see online is from an old accident, and he wasn’t responsible for it!” she wrote on her Instagram page.

Georgina rose to fame after dating Machachari actor Tyler Mbaya, with whom she shares a young daughter. Given the repeated incidents, netizens and fellow influencers have voiced their concerns about her well-being.

Digital content creator Shania advised Georgina to focus on raising her child and avoid situations that expose her to violence.

Meanwhile, a concerned fan on Instagram wrote, “People close to Georgina Njenga, can they check up on her? She went live at a police station where she was being held. She might need help. On top of everything, she’s also a young mum. Where’s her baby daddy, Tyler Mbaya?” Another commented, “This is too much drama.”

Being a public figure, Georgina’s life is often under scrutiny, but that does not justify domestic violence. Abuse, whether against men or women, is unacceptable, and it is crucial to raise awareness of the impact of gender-based violence.
