
Driver of a bus that killed 15 people along Nakuru-Eldoret highway arrested

The driver of a 47-seater bus involved in a crash that killed 15 people on the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway on Tuesday has been arrested.
Clement Kiarie, 34, who was driving the 'Classic King' bus, was detained at the Mau Summit Police Station on Wednesday pending his arraignment.
Eight adults and seven children, including five girls and two boys, died in the 2.45 a.m. accident.
Seven other passengers were seriously injured in the fatal crash, while 38 others were treated for minor injuries.
The injured were taken to Molo Sub-County Hospital, and the bodies of the deceased were moved to the mortuary at the same facility.
In the early Tuesday morning accident, a 14-seater Matatu collided head on with a bus along the busy Nakuru-Eldoret highway.
