Diamond Platnumz was left in tears during an interview with his own radio station Wasafi FM.
He was mourning the death of one of his employees Khadija Shaibu aka Dida who passed away two weeks ago while receiving treatment at Muhimbili Hospital, Dar Es Salaam.
Diamond said he had not yet come to terms with her death "I have been avoiding speaking about it in public because of the heaviness of this tragedy. It has hit me hard. Because of that, I felt like I was not ready to speak about it," he said
Adding "Even the burial preparations, my involvement was not in public."
He said he had gone to see her in hospital before her death "I am not okay, If I say I am okay, I will be lying. She was not only my employee, she was my sister. My sister has gone."
Diamond had to cut off his music festival dubbed Wasafi Festival to give time to his staff to mourn the death of their colleague.
