Bwire Ndubi's body airlifted to Kakamega ahead of burial today

Bwire Ndubi's body has been airlifted to Kisumu International airport and then transported by road from Kisumu to Kakamega county ahead of her burial on Saturday 21st September.
Ndubi died on September 5th while receiving treatment in Turkey. She succumbed to cancer.
Her body was airlifted to Kenya before a memorial service was held in Mombasa a few days ago. A candle-lighting vigil dubbed 'The Last Dance' was also held on Saturday, September 14th at the Little Theatre Club in Mombasa.
The event was attended by the film industry stakeholders, family, friends and fans.
After her death, the family announced the sad news to her followers thanking them for supporting her.
"It is with heavy hearts and humble acceptance of God's will that we announce Winfred Bwire Ndubi lost her battle with cancer on 5th September 2024, while undergoing treatment in Turkey."
"We thank you all for your overwhelming support, prayers, and generous giving during her treatment. We will share more details in due course" Read the announcement."
