Bomet: Man hospitalized after a failed suicide attempt

A 25-year-old man is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Silibwet trading center, Bomet county, after he sustained serious in a failed attempt at death by suicide.
According to Bomet township location chief Reuben Ngetich, the man was saved by a Good Samaritan who happened to be passing by the scene.
“The man who happened to be passing by the tree saw the victim dangling on a tree, gasping for breath and kicking helplessly. So, he rushed to help,” said Ngetich.
The man is said to have been at the verge of death when he was rescued. He was then rushed to hospital, where he is still undergoing treatment.
It is not yet clear what may have prompted the man to attempt the act of death by suicide.
