Baby Sagini's Cousin, aunt and grandmother sentenced
Justice prevailed after Kisii court Senior Resident Magistrate Christine Ongweno made the ruling on 3 year old baby Sagini's case after his relatives plucked out his eyes.
Baby Sagini's cousin, Maina Ochogo was sentenced to 40 years in prison, grandmother Rael Nyakerario sentenced to 5 years and aunty Pacificah Nyakerario sentenced to 10 years.
Resident Magistrate Ongweno found the three accused person's guilty of gouging out Sagini's eyes.
While delivering the ruling, Ongweno stated that while the court is not able to restore Sagini's eyesight to its previous state, it has made a ruling that is befitting to the crime committed.
