Multi-award winning 22-year-old artist Ayra Starr born Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, while addressing her immense, almost overnight success revealed being her biggest critic is what really propelled her career growth and helped set her on the map.

Sharing her success story in her Dare to Dream documentary by Amazon Music Ayra candidly said, "I'm here today; I'm coping and I'm doing well but I feel like being my biggest critic has been what has brought me here so far; that's what has made me who I am right now."

The 'Commas' hitmaker went on to add how she always pushed herself after a performance,even when it was good she would just envision what she can do to make it and herself better.

"Looking back at my first performance, I can laugh vs where I am right now.it is always like I can become way better. I always watch my old videos and I'm writing things I can do better and how I can sharpen my choreography. Definitely sharpen my choreography, a bigger stage production,"  the Grammy nominee candidly narrated.

Touching on her talents and prowess the singer revealed even though she knows she can do things such as sing and dance at the same time seamlessly without going off beat, she still takes time to seriously rehearse because to her everything ought to be perfect.

"I know I can sing and dance at the same time and that is easy for me but I make sure I have enough time to rehearse. I know what I want and I know certain things, like lights. I'm literally a stage producer at this point. I've studied it."

Finishing up the Mavin label signee added,"You just have to be strong and putting that pressure on myself has definitely brought me here, and I'm cool with that as long as I get what I want."

Before noting she hopes Dare to Dream isn’t the last time she'll be gracing the silver screen.

When asked to choose what her first movie role would be, she responded, “I want to be in a high school movie, like the ones we grew up watching, like a Euphoria type. I feel like I would play that so well the main mean girl.”
