
Attorney General nominee Dorcas Oduor says her net worth is ksh 85 million

Attorney General nominee Dorcas Agik Oduor has disclosed her net worth to be Ksh.85 million.
Appearing before the National Assembly Committee on and Appointments for vetting on Friday, the former Secretary of the Public Prosecutions said her wealth is jointly owned with her family.
Ms. Oduor, who is a widow, said that since the death of her husband, she has not redistributed the wealth among her children.
She said the wealth consisted of properties among them land, houses and a car.
"My total family net worth, because since my husband died we have not distributed amongst my children, is Ksh.85 million," she noted, adding that; "It is made up of land, houses and a car."
Ms. Oduor is an advocate of the High Court who boasts more than 30 years of experience in the field of law.
Prior to her nomination as AG, she had held several positions at the ODPP including Deputy Director; Head of the Economic, International, and Emerging Crimes Department; Deputy Chief State Counsel; as well as State Counsel at the Office of the Attorney General.
If successful, Ms. Oduor will succeed former AG Justin Muturi and become the first-ever Kenyan female Attorney General since independence.
Muturi, who has since been reassigned to the Public Service docket, declared his net worth to be Ksh.801 million.
