Amber Ray: " I Have Been Called a Hypocrite, Accused of Making Other Women Cry Because I was Once a Second Wife."
Amber Ray has responded to Amira labeling her a hypocrite after she showed support for Annie Idibia following her divorce from 2baba, whom Annie has accused of cheating several times.
Amira and her fans quickly criticized Amber Ray, calling her a hypocrite because she was previously accused of being involved in the breakup of Amira’s marriage to Jimal Roho Safi.
The reality star lamented how critics have flooded her direct message with insults because she sympathised with Annie.
“It is crazy how some people are flooding my DMs with insults just because I aired my opinion about Annie’s story. I’ve been called a hypocrite and accused of making other women cry because I was once a second wife,” she stated.
In a series of her Instastories, Amber confirmed that she was married twice as a second wife, adding that in both marriages, she was not aware that her husbands were married.
Amber went on to say that she was deceived and left to carry the blame for being a homewrecker; however, the mother of two says she took it as a learning lesson.
Amber noted that even though she was blamed for breaking up the marriages, she was not the first or last side chick to her ex-husbands, adding that she already acknowledged and paid for her past mistakes.
“And let’s be honest, I wasn’t their first or last ‘side chick.’ But I’ve already paid for my mistakes, owned my truth, and moved forward to live my best life unapologetically,” she said.
She added that it is sad how men’s infidelity is justified while women are attacked and shamed even when they have been deceived.
“It’s sad how society loves to justify men’s actions when they cheat but is quick to attack women, even when they’ve been deceived. Let me be clear: no one can make me feel bad about my past anymore. I’ve healed, I’ve grown, and I’m not here to carry shame that isn’t mine."
