"Aliua Watoto He is Being Tormented": Gachagua Links Ruto's Candle Failing To Light In Rome To Gen Z Deaths

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has linked the failure of President William Ruto's candle to light during the funeral of Pope Francis in Rome to the bloodshed during the Gen Z protests in June 2024.

In an interview on Sunday, April 27, Gachagua claimed that the President was being haunted by the bloodshed of the protesters who were killed by the police in June 2024.

The former DP also claimed President Ruto was not sleeping well at night because of the curse.

"William Ruto ordered the police to shoot the Gen Z protestors. The blood of these children is now haunting him; that's why he is not sleeping. You see, he went to Rome, and when he was given a candle and tried to light it, it refused.

“Anyone who was involved in shedding the blood of the Gen Z children, including him and Kithure Kindiki, because they are the ones responsible for spilling the blood of Gen Z they will not find peace in their lives, because those children were innocent. They were just fighting for their rights,” said Gachagua.

At the same time, Gachagua slammed President Ruto for attending Pope Francis' funeral, despite having already delegated National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula to represent the country.

He claimed that President Ruto does not trust anyone, and that is why he ended up attending the funeral.

"President William Ruto sent Speaker Moses Wetang'ula to represent him at Pope Francis' funeral, but he (Ruto) was not satisfied; he ended up attending the funeral as well. That is the kind of president we have; he does not trust anyone to do anything," said Gachagua.
