Alando named new KAM CEO after Mwangi steps down

Alando has been named as the new CEO of the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM), taking over from Anthony Mwangi, who has stepped down.

Alando, an insider, was serving as KAM’s Chief Operating Officer until his appointment.

KAM Board Chair Jane Karuku announced that the association will be looking for a substantive office holder soon.

“On behalf of the Kenya Association of Manufacturers’ Board of Directors, I would like to announce that Mr. Anthony Mwangi, who has served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the last 2 years, has stepped down,” Karuku stated.

KAM CEO position is an executive position with office holders expected to perform various functions, including developing annual work plans and championing key issues in the manufacturing sector, among others.

A person must hold a Bachelor and Master Degree, have at least 10 years of experience, understand manufacturing issues, etc., to be eligible for the post.

“KAM remains committed to its strategic objectives, its members and to various stakeholders on delivering its purpose of creating prosperity for the nation through sustainable industrialisation.”
