A day before the song's premiere, Rotimi shared beautiful moments bonding with Imani, expressing how her smile melts his heart every time he sees it.

Eager to do something special for Father's Day, he decided to create a heartfelt letter-cum-song envisioning his dreams for her and his pride in being a father.

On Friday, June 14, Rotimi announced his newest project, emphasising how dear it was to him.

"Dear Imani is out now on all streaming platforms. My Roses ? & My ROyals ?, we did it! It started with an idea, and now it's completed. The song was thought of, written, recorded, mixed, mastered, and the video shot in four days ?. But sharing this with you all was worth every second."

Imani is his little girl, and he emotionally expressed that a father's love for his child is boundless. "I haven’t played this song once yet without getting teary-eyed ?. So happy to share this with you all." This release comes just before Father's Day on June 16.
