Content creator Kenan Osyaju, widely known as Khoja Afrique, is quickly becoming one of Kenya’s most entertaining online comedians, thanks to his unique way of turning everyday life into funny, relatable skits.
From relatable village moments to hilarious skits, Khoja has mastered the art of finding humour in simple situations many Kenyans know well.
His videos, which often showcase village settings and characters, have earned him a growing fan base across social media platforms.
Comedic style
Khoja’s signature style is his heavy Luhya accent, which he uses to add humour and authenticity to his storytelling.
No matter which character he plays, his Luhya accent makes every scene feel natural and fun to watch. Another element that keeps his audience hooked is his range as a performer.
Sometimes, he plays the role of a naughty, mischievous teenager, capturing the energy and stubbornness that many people can relate to.
Other times, he cross-dresses to play a village girl named Brenda, a character that adds a playful and humorous twist to his skits.
In many of his skits, he also jokingly refers to himself as ‘One Pablo’, a nickname that adds personality and humour to his characters. Additionally, he frequently calls his castmates ‘my G’, a phrase that never fails to crack up his fans.
Khoja Afrique’s content also taps into relatable themes like high school drama and student life, capturing teenage experiences, dodging teachers, navigating classroom chaos, or dealing with school rivalries.
His witty skits are always delivered with a humorous twist that resonates with Gen Z viewers.
In addition to cheeky teenager skits, most of his videos highlight village life, capturing the humour in situations many Kenyans grew up experiencing.

Rise to fame
Speaking in an interview with Oga Obinna, Khoja revealed that his journey to content creation began as a musician.
He recorded his first song, ‘Dangerous’, in 2017. Although it did not gain much traction, it marked the start of his creative pursuits, which later transitioned into comedy.
“I came to Nairobi for the first time in 2017 to record my music after my mother gave me Ksh 20,000,” he said.
“Niliwacha mziki kwa sababu haileti pesa kama comedy.”
Khoja’s comedy has quickly won over audiences across Kenya.
His social media channels have become platforms for storytelling, blending humour with cultural commentary.
By capturing the everyday life of ordinary Kenyans, mostly living in the village. Khoja has earned a loyal fan base and recognition as one of Kenya’s rising digital stars.
