Aslay addresses claims of joining Diamond platnumz's at WCB

Aslay Isihaka has finally responded to the statement that Diamond Platnumz's manager Mkubwa Fella made on Wasafi FM radio about him being signed.

Mkubwa Fella had said that he as manager at WCB Wasafi was aware that there were ambitious plans for Aslay to become one of the artists under the biggest label in East Africa.

Mkubwa said that he is currently in continuous talks with Diamond to ensure that Aslay also follows Mbosso who was previously in Yamoto Bend, a group managed by Fella.

"When Mbosso left Yamoto to join WCB Wasafi, I gave all my blessings and Diamond was the front line to receive him.

And yes, right now I'm making a plan, I'm talking to Naseeb [Diamond] If God smiles at the Aslay, he's a young man with a lot of talent," Mkubwa revealed.

Responding to that statement, Aslay showed his sincere intention to implement what Mkubwa had seen in him and said that he was ready to go wherever Fella saw that he would benefit.

However, he insisted that he is currently under the Rockstar label under Sony and therefore would not be able to talk much.

"I have never had any conversation about wanting to sign for WCB Wasafi, but he is Big, I have to accept what he says.

I just want any place that is not only WCB Wasafi but just any place where I see there is a good guide, I will go. But you know very well that right now I am in a record label," Aslay said.

This is not the first time that the artist has come out to strongly refute statements linking him to Wasafi, but it will also be remembered that he once made it clear about the possibility of collaborating with Diamond if the opportunity arose.

"Diamond is a great person, he has the ability to do anything and at any time and it becomes great. So wishing to sign WCB for now is no.

I already have my goals and I have things I hope to do. But I have never been followed by Diamond that he wants to sign me and his people have never followed me," he said at the same time in an interview with Millard Ayo in September.
