Tanzanian singer Harmonize has addressed accusations made online that his father used witchcraft against Diamond Platnumz’s WCB Wasafi label after he parted ways with it.

The Konde Gang founder expressed deep hurt over the claims, noting that his father is a devout man who would never contemplate visiting a traditional healer to bring harm to the label simply because his son had moved on.

Harmonize revealed that one of the people most affected by his decision to leave WCB was his father, as he had always considered Diamond like a son.

“One of the things that really hurt my father was the stories surrounding my departure from WCB Wasafi. My old man, as I’ve said before, is a religious man, although he’s ageing now. He saw Diamond and me as his sons. We used to live and work together like family,” Harmonize explained.

He stressed that he himself would never consider using witchcraft or any form of spiritual interference against the label. As an example, he pointed out the mosque he is building back home, which he named after Diamond.

“It was similar to the way I live with Ibraah now. That’s how close Diamond and I were back then. So, to say that my father could have participated in any kind of ritual or dark practice to bring down Wasafi simply isn’t true,” he said.

“I don’t believe in that, and let me give you a small example. You’ve seen the mosque—Masjid—that I’m building back in my village. I wrote that the first contribution towards building it came from Diamond.”

“So, how could someone practise witchcraft against a man who contributed money to build a mosque in their village? It simply doesn’t make sense,” he added.

Despite the hurtful nature of the rumours, Harmonize said he did not blame those who started them, suggesting that perhaps they were just confused and surprised by the sudden fallout between him and Diamond.

“It’s like the separation caught everyone off guard—people were wondering how such close friends could suddenly part ways,” he said.
