A wife who selflessly carried her husband on her back across a seasonal river in Ukambani is winning hearts. The two are husband and wife and were headed to their Church when they encountered a hurdle.

The man is a pastor and wears a blue suit and formal shoes with the challenge of how to cross the seasonal river without getting wet.

His wife proposes that she carry him on her back across the river. As women do when they carry a child, she bent a bit making him grasp at her shoulders and they had a small exchange in the Kamba dialect that suggested he was worried about falling. 

She tells him not to worry and skillfully stands making him secure on her back.

He agrees to her suggestion as he wonders if she will manage his weight. He screams a little bit and is hilariously mocked by bystanders.

The woman wearing a skirt suit takes off her shoes and encourages him to hop onto her back. He somewhat jumps and begs her not to drop him. He instructs her not to bend too much while carrying him.

"We si mzito naskia kama karatasi," she assures him about his weight.

Two other women are across the river and laughing as the wife carries her man. They appear to be encouraging her to finish the task.

When the wife ferries him successfully, he hugs her and praises her.
