Police in Trans Nzoia County are pursuing a 60-year-old man from Wamuini village, Waitaluk ward in Kiminini Constituency, who defiled his 16-year-old epileptic niece multiple times and threatened to kill her if she informed her mother.
Paul Ndung’u, a senior bachelor, ran away from the scene after realising that his heinous act had been discovered.
The Widow who reported the case at the Tulwet police post revealed to that she was asked to pay Ksh3,000 to facilitate the search and arrest of the culprit.
Nancy Muthoni, the mother of the victim, revealed that Ndung’u dragged her only daughter into his house while she was away, then committed the offence at his house.
“I was not at home when the two incidents happened. I was working in my neighbour’s farm to raise money for my daughter’s monthly medication,” Muthoni stated.
Muthoni confirmed that later on the day of the incident, her daughter struggled to sleep because she was in pain and could not tell her mother because she had been threatened.

She also confirmed that after the first incident, the girl was not taken to the hospital for medication; instead, she received post-rape care after the second incident.
Still in the same area, Sussy (not her real name) revealed that her heartless uncle grabbed her, offended her sexually, and told her not to tell anybody what had transpired.
“He told me not to tell my mother what he had done to me, or else he was going to beat me to death. I want him arrested, beaten, and imprisoned,” Sussy said.
On the other hand, Trans Nzoia County Commissioner Gideon Oyagi has instructed the County Police Commander to act on the case so that the victim can get justice.
National Council for Persons with Disabilities Coordinator in Trans Nzoia County, Bernard Masioge, condemned the act and demanded Justice for the defiled girl.
“Sexual offence is a serious criminal offence, and we ask that the culprit be brought to book and thrown in jail to serve as an example to others,” Masioge appealed.
