Musician and content creator Stevo Simple Boy has revealed that over 200 fans have been begging him for money daily.
He posted a screenshot of several messages he has been receiving from fans asking him for money for food, rent, and other necessities. Some stated that they were jobless while others stated that they had gone without food for days.
Stevo stated that he receives over 200 such messages and out of these he tries to help up to five people.
Stevo urges fans to be patient
“Kwa siku napata ujumbe kama hizi zaidi ya 200, na kwa kila siku lazima nisaidie watu watano, (In a day I get over 200 hundred such messages and, in a day, I have to help five people),” said Stevo.
He also stated that he was not posting the screenshots to shame the senders but to encourage them to be patient and wait for their turn.
“Sijakuja kuanika mtu yeyote bali nataka kuweka wazi ili msinichukulie kwa ubaya, so kama sijakusaidia bado ngojea tu zamu yako itafika please (I am not here to shame anyone and don’t take this the wrong way. Wait for your turn please),” stated Stevo.
The ‘Shega’ hitmaker went on to state that having been through similar challenges, he totally understands them, and he would rather help them even if it means he will be left without anything.
Stevo Simple Boy vows to continue helping fans
“Najua uchungu wa kukosa kwa sababu pia mimi nimepitia hizi changamoto, nitawasaidia, ata kama nitabaki bila chochote Mungu ataleta zingine (I know the pain of lacking because I have been there. I will help even if I remain without anything, God will provide),” said the singer.
Stevo ended his post by asking God to bless his fans.
Stevo Simple Boy is known for his unique style of music. He rose to fame in 2019, after releasing the song ‘Mihadarati’, a song that warned Kenyan youth against the dangers of drug abuse.
