Popular actress and content creator Jacky Vike, widely known as "Awinja," has captivated her followers by sharing a surprisingly simple birthday Wishlist.

The star, who is celebrating her birthday on September 8, posted her requests on Instagram, and they immediately resonated with her audience for their cultural authenticity.

She also wished for:

"Unga ya Ugali ikue imesiagwa bila GRADE yoyote."

This translates to maize flour that is ground without any grading, a sign of its pure, local authenticity.

The list was rounded off with a request for "Miwa Refu Nono," or thick sugarcane. This list stood out from the often-extravagant requests associated with celebrity birthdays.

A week ago, radio presenter Claudia Naisabwa shared her birthday Wishlist that had many talking on social media.

The list read like a manifesto of ambition: Money, a Porsche Cayenne, the latest MacBook Pro M4, an iPhone 16 Pro Max, and an Apple Watch Series 10.

Script writer Abel Mutua was also not left behind as he cheekily shared his birthday Wishlist, a day after Naisabwa’s viral one.
