Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones has paid a powerful tribute to the late Raila Amolo Odinga by commissioning several massive murals of the former Prime Minister inside his mansion.
In a video shared on his Instagram stories on Wednesday, October 23, 2025, the award-winning artiste, shared glimpses of the artwork depicting Raila in different iconic moments of his role as a statesman and reformist who shaped Kenya’s democracy.
Speaking when news of the former Prime Minister’s passing broke, the rapper shared an emotional message expressing his devastation and disbelief.
“Hii imenimaliza, since yesterday I’ve still been trying to process this. Baba will forever be my hero. Rest, Baba, Rest,” he wrote.
On Sunday, October 19, as Raila’s body was being laid to rest in Bondi in a ceremony attended by thousands, Khaligraph shared a deeply emotional message on social media in honour of the late leader.
He revealed that his prolonged silence since he posted his first message after Raila’s death was confirmed was because the loss had weighed heavily on him.
“There are some of us who since this thing happened (Raila’s death) we have not had any strength. Today, being the final day that we are paying our last respects to mzee, I just want to say Rest baba, it is well,” he said.
In the video, seemingly filmed at his home, also captured an immaculate portrait of Raila in the background.
