Kericho: Man chops off his wife's ears , claims she doesn't listen to him
Police in Kericho have launched a manhunt for a man who allegedly cut off his wife’s ears on Wednesday.
Police said the man from Sigowet-Soin, Kericho County, committed the heinous act over claims of disobedience and failure to follow instructions.
“The suspect escaped immediately after committing the crime,” read a police report.
A scuffle had ensued between the two, leading to the suspect cutting off both of her ears, claiming she was disobedient.
Police said they have intensified the search for the suspect and will present him in court once he is arrested.
The incident shocked local residents, who noted that such an incident had never happened in their community.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where she is currently receiving treatment.
