Investigations have so far established that Mackenzie extended his criminal activities beyond the 800-acre parcel of land at the Shakahola Forest.
Speaking during the launch of the 3rd phase of exhumations Interior Cabinet Secretary, Prof Kindiki Kithure revealed that, construction of security roads across the more than 37,000 acres of Chakama Ranch has commenced to facilitate comprehensive, methodical, and scientific investigations and facilitate search and rescue efforts, as well as identification of graves.
The CS noted that the investigations team has gathered sufficient and credible evidence to sustain a watertight case against Mackenzie and his collaborators.
"They will face among other charges, genocide and crimes against humanity."
Kindiki stated that once the ongoing exercise is concluded, a congregation of believers from all faiths and the national leadership shall convene for a commemoration service to secure the sacred right and freedom of worship that has been violated by crooks hiding behind scriptures to radicalise and indoctrinate their followers.
"Shakahola forest, the scene of crime where grave crimes have been committed will not remain as it was. The Government will convert it into a national memorial, a place of remembrance so that Kenyans and the world do not forget what happened here," said Prof. Kindiki.
