Flaqo Raz has publicly accused smartphone brand Oppo Kenya and marketing agency Afluence of failing to pay for promotional content.

Unpaid Work and Broken Agreements

In an Instagram story posted on February 5, Flaqo expressed frustration over the delayed payment, stating that his team had worked under intense pressure to promote Oppo Kenya’s AI event in August 2024. Despite producing three months’ worth of content in just two weeks, they have yet to receive payment five months later. He called the situation “unacceptable” and criticized both brands for failing to honor their agreement.

Flaqo also accused Oppo Kenya of trying to distance itself from the issue by claiming it had already paid Afluence. However, he argued that since the content directly benefited Oppo’s brand awareness, it was irresponsible for them to evade accountability.

Afluence Under Scrutiny

Further escalating the dispute, Flaqo revealed that his legal team investigated Afluence, only to find that the agency may have moved from its physical office location and might no longer be operational. He blamed Oppo for failing to ensure they worked with a reliable and competent agency.
