Murali Natarajan, a veteran banker from India, has been appointed as the new Managing Director and CEO of Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) Kenya.
His appointment follows regulatory approvals and is part of DTB’s strategic reorganization to drive regional growth, the bank announced.
Natarajan, the former MD and CEO of DCB Bank India, steps into the role previously held by Nasim Devji, who now shifts her focus to Group responsibilities.
Devji will continue as Group CEO, overseeing DTB’s entities in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Burundi, while leading initiatives in IT, corporate governance, risk, and compliance.
The bank, affiliated with the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), operates across East Africa.
Devji emphasized that Natarajan’s expertise will be key in enhancing DTB’s Kenyan franchise growth, aligning with the Group’s vision for sustainable regional expansion.
