Singer and entrepreneur Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothee, has opened up about the success of her recent trip to Uganda with her manager, Nelly Oaks.

In a Monday evening post, the 43-year-old artist revealed that she and Nelly Oaks renewed their vows, making them husband and wife.

She expressed her gratitude to the neighboring country, acknowledging that their love was strengthened there.

"Yooo Uganda did a number on us. We went as manager and artist, and we're coming back home as husband and wife. Did you see our vows renewed in Uganda? Thank you so much, Uganda, you have strengthened my love life. I love you, Uganda," the mom of 5 wrote.

She went on to announce that she would be traveling back there soon. In recent days, Akothee and her partner Nelly Oaks, who is also her official manager, have been on a tourism-related trip in Uganda.

The two have been openly celebrating their love in recent months, after rekindling their relationship following Akothee's split from Denis Schweizer in the middle of last year.

Late last year, the musician seemed to confirm the revival of her relationship with Nelly Oaks during a recent live session on TikTok.

In the session, where she was addressing her fans while Nelly Oaks prepared a special meal for her in the kitchen, Akothee was heard calling her manager "babe" several times, a term often used by lovers.

Nelly was also heard referring to Akothee as someone special to him, as the two shared romantic moments on camera.

"This is a special dinner for someone as special as you. It's a surprise," Nelly Oaks was heard telling the musician.

During the session, Akothee angrily rebuked all women who confessed their love for her manager, hinting that he was not available to them.

When some fans wanted to know if Nelly Oaks had a significant other, the 43-year-old musician appeared to confirm that she held that position.

"You’re asking if Nelly has someone?! Do you think I'm a stone? Am I a stone? Or am I a tree? You’re asking if Nelly has someone, do you think I'm a stone? Or a stick? Don't test my patience. It's my life, and I live it the way I want," she said.

The mother of five also rejected a request for Nelly Oaks' phone number, revealing that she even had the ability to unlock and use his phone.
