Safaricom has entered into a strategic partnership with MultiChoice to provide its customers access to exclusive streaming content on Showmax and DStv Stream.

The collaboration will allow Safaricom Home Fibre customers and mobile users to enjoy a variety of premium TV shows, movies, sports, and documentaries with enhanced convenience.

As part of the deal, Safaricom Home Fibre subscribers will now be able to stream DStv content, while Safaricom customers purchasing any Go Monthly plus plan will receive a one-month subscription voucher for either Showmax Entertainment Mobile or Showmax Entertainment (All devices).

Nzola Miranda, Managing Director of MultiChoice Kenya, highlighted that this partnership aims to make high-quality content more accessible across various devices by leveraging Safaricom’s innovative technology.

Safaricom’s Chief Consumer Business Officer, Fawzia Ali, reiterated the company’s commitment to expanding Home Fibre uptake, which will allow customers to access premium content both at home and on their smartphones.

A key feature of the partnership is access to the English Premier League (EPL). Customers can stream all EPL matches via Showmax X Go Monthly Plan, priced at Sh450 with a 3GB bundle per month. Home Fibre customers will also enjoy up to a 10 percent discount on DStv Stream subscription packages, combining home internet with premium TV content.

This partnership comes as demand for digital entertainment continues to rise, with more consumers seeking flexible, high-quality content across multiple devices.
