"Ruto is irredeemably corrupt": Muturi exposes Ruto as he drops bombshell linking President Ruto to shady multi-billion deals

In a tell-all interview with NTV's Fixing the Nation, Muturi called out the president accusing him of claiming to fight corruption while he allegedly secretly conducts corrupt deals worth billions.
Muturi, who worked with Ruto in the past two years in his Cabinet, alleged that the president portrays different characters from the one in public and the one behind closed doors.
"He is quite a dangerous character. I think Ruto is unfit for the position of president. I've no bitterness, this is my assessment. When I watched him talk to members of my Cabinet, saying I don't want to see corruption, I wondered who is this talking to?" Muturi posed.
"Yes, he (Ruto) is absolutely, very, irredeemably corrupt," the former CS added.
To corroborate his statement, Muturi claimed that Ruto attempted to arm-twist him to hurriedly sign a Ksh.129 billion deal with Russian Oligarchs on planting trees.

The former CS explained that the deal would have contravened the law as such funds must go through the Treasury and should not be channelled directly to a Ministry.
"I was invited to go to COP 28 in Dubai, which ended up in the Adani Deal about the airport. During that time, some Russian oligarchs wanted to invest Ksh.129 billion in Kenya.
"I landed in Dubai and received a phone call from Ruto, who told me that the Russians were waiting at the airport and I needed to sign the documents. I declined, saying I needed to review the documents in the office," he revealed.
"The deal purported to give a grant of Ksh.129 billion to grow allegedly 3 billion trees. Whenever Ruto comes up with a project, it's for moneymaking. So they bring me a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and I tell them that the Ksh.129 billion can only be by a grant but can't come directly to the ministry. It only goes through the Treasury."
Muturi also weighed in on the Arror and Kimwarer scandal, a project where the government secured a loan worth Ksh.63 billion from an Italian Company, CMC di Ravenna, but there were discrepancies regarding the actual cost, quality of work and accountability.
"I refused to sign the Arror/Kimwarer dams. The Italians were paid billions. In Kimwarer, nothing has happened because the report provided was faulty," he added.
"Ruto held meetings with the Italian Prime Minister and the President. On three occasions, I was invited by the Head of Public Service to accompany the team. I wondered why because the country was losing Ksh.38 billion on the project. They wanted me to sign, and I declined."

The former CS, whose bitter fallout with Ruto has been publicised in the past months, refuted claims that he has a personal vendetta against the current regime.
He revealed that he could provide the supporting documents on softcopy to back his allegations.
Muturi's remarks come weeks after President Ruto fired him in the latest Cabinet changes, replacing him with current Mbeere North MP Geoffrey Ruku.
