President William Ruto will lead Kenyans in celebrating the Utamaduni Day at the Bomas of Kenya on October 10, 2023.
Formerly known as Moi Day, this day was redefined in 2020, in accordance with Statute Miscellaneous Amendments Act No. 29 of 2020, to celebrate Kenya's rich cultural diversity.
Utamaduni Day serves as a potent reminder of the crucial role cultural diversity plays in fostering national unity, inclusive development, equity, and justice.
This year's theme is "Celebrating Our Unity Through Diversity."
In collaboration with counties across Kenya, The State Department for Culture, The Arts, and Heritage will lead their constituencies in making Utamaduni Day a resounding success.
The focus for this year's celebration is on public engagement, street fairs, and food festivals highlighting our cultural traditions.
