Pastor Ezekiel Odero donates foodstuffs worth KSH 10 million to flood victims in Tana River

Pastor Ezekiel Odero of New Life Church donated foodstuff worth millions of money to flood victims in Tana River County.
The clergyman said he had made arrangements with the county government of Tana River and the county boss Dhadho Godhana to assist the victims during this festive season.
He said although he faced opposition, the county leadership has gladly welcomed his donations.
"The donations made here including bags of maize, beans and packets of sanitary towels are from my church. We are happy to have made it here and we understand how hard it is for the residents to source these items locally," the pastor stated.
Further, Odero defended both county and national governments saying Kenyans should appreciate them for their efforts during the EL Nino rains.
"Sometimes we tend to blame the governments for floods but some of these things are unexpected and often come when the budget is already set," he said.
