Judiciary mourns the death of former CJ Willy Mutunga's son Athman Mutunga

The judiciary has joined in mourning with retired Chief Justice Dr. Willy Mutunga following the tragic death of his son, Athman Mutunga.
In a condolence message issued on Sunday, Chief Justice Martha Koome expressed sympathy on behalf of the entire Judiciary as well as her own family.
"On behalf of the Judiciary family and on my own behalf, I extend our deepest condolences to Emeritus Chief Justice (Rtd) Dr. Willy Mutunga and his family on the heartbreaking loss of his beloved son, Athman Mutunga," Justice Koome conveyed in her message.
"We stand with the Mutunga family in grief during this incredibly difficult time. While words may never fully ease the pain of losing a loved one, we hope that the family finds comfort in the cherished memories they shared with Athman."
In her statement, she reaffirmed the Judiciary's unwavering support for Dr. Mutunga and his family during this difficult time, and she wished them strength and healing.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the Mutunga family, and we pray that Athman's soul will rest in eternal peace."
The legal community has expressed sympathy and support for the former Chief Justice and his family.
Athman passed away on Saturday at the Coptic hospital where he was being treated.
