"I don't know what happened during Covid-19" Vera Sidika opens about her marriage to Brown Mauzo

Kenyan socialite and entrepreneur Vera Sidika has questioned her decision to get married after years of publicly denouncing marriage.

Reflecting on her failed marriage, the socialite, on Sunday, September 1, 2024, took to her Insta Stories and shared the eight-year-old interview she did at K24 TV where she had vowed never to get married.

The mother of two further disclosed that she has always been anti-marriage but she does not understand what changed during the COVID-19 period that made her get married.

Additionally, the Reality TV star said that after her failed marriage she does not intend on getting married again.

“This was 8years ago. Always said I never wanna get married. Don’t know what happened during COVID-19 but I’ve been there and trust me: marriage is a scam! Never again!” she wrote.

Vera and Brown Mauzo married in October 2020. However, they had yet to have a formal ceremony yet Vera asserted they were legally married.

On August 30, 2023, Mauzo announced his split from the socialite asking for space as he went into a new chapter of his life.

The singer penned a series of messages, updating his fans about their mutual decision to part ways amicably.

Mauzo expressed gratitude for the moments he and Vera Sidika shared during their time together.

“I wanted to take a moment to share some personal news. After much consideration, Vera Sidika and I have decided to part ways. Our journey together has been filled with unforgettable moments, but we have reached a point where it’s best for both of us and our babies, Asia Brown and Ice Brown, to move forward separately,” he shared.

The ex-couple have two kids together.
