Eric Omondi promises to reconcile Eve Mungai and Director Trevor

Self-proclaimed President of comedy-cum-philanthropist Eric Omondi has vowed to facilitate a 'handshake' between former YouTube sensational couple Director Trevor and Eve Mungai.

Speaking to Trudy Kitui, Omondi claimed that he had a hand in building the 'Mugai Eve' brand and his opinion on this matter deserves to be heard.

"I wouldn't call myself dad but I intentionally worked with Eve to grow online media. I believe my opinion in this case matters," Omondi stated.

Further, he said he would be inviting the duo for lunch once Eve returns from her solo trip to Zanzibar to reconcile them and restore their brand.

"Ikinishinda nitasema I tried," Omondi noted.

According to Eric Omondi, Eve and Trevor's differences and consequential split were spurred by close friends and acquaintances.

"I had spoken and met both Eve and Trevor before the messy split and the issue is their friends. Ni watu kuingililia maisha yao," Omondi said.

Director Trevor, who was romantically involved with Eve Mungai for nearly five years, confirmed they have parted ways both personally and professionally.

In a series of Insta Stories on Monday, February 19, 2024, Trevor disclosed that he had assumed full control of the YouTube channel and no longer needed Eve Mungai's services.

When asked if he would continue working with Mungai, Trevor made it clear that her involvement in their joint platforms was terminated.

"No! Her services are no longer needed in the following platforms: YouTube - 754K subscribers, Insta Fame - 104K subscribers, Facebook - 874K followers," he responded.

Trevor has since rebranded the YouTube channel under the name 'Kenya Online Media'.

Consequently, Eve Mungai now ceases receiving a Ksh800,000 monthly salary following the breakup.
